This “nude” figure relieved of all it’s embellishments now looks very sweet and harmless, but as all Songye carvings, it was a fierce looking fetish statue before, covered in frightening rags and embellishments. By oversight I left it outside and forgotten throughout a wet and cold Cape Winter
