The Dogon people are known for their numerous variations of masks, and are also known to do pottery. But it is very rare to see a ceramic mask. The mask definitely shows a camel carrying a very smart container. It is seems a portrayal of Arab caravans who sometimes travelled through the area. A really unique piece.
