Double image masks are rare but not unusual. This is a  fetish mask with horns and nails with a delicately carved face. Both faces are nearly identical as can be seen from the two images. The mask displays  intricate details as is the norm for Kongo art, like for example the delicately carved teeth. This attention to detail  is one of the main features of masks from the area.
