This vessel was purchased by Abubakar Kuotu in 1998 at a trade fair in Cotonou. He has since resided in Johannesburg where he traded until his death.  My friend Abraham Njoya was his neighbour back in Foumban, Cameroon. He was asked to liquidate all of Mr, Kuoto’s assets and speed up the repatriation of his remains to Cameroon. I selected this particular pot, not because of it’s traditional value, but rather because of it’s uniqueness.
